SimpleDZ 0.1.1-alpha — built-in auto-updater
SimpleDZ 0.1.1-alpha (Linux) is out. The headline change: the app can now update itself.
What's new
- Built-in auto-updater — the app checks for new versions (at startup and every hour), shows what changed and, once you click "Update", safely stops your servers (with in-game warnings), downloads only the changed files, installs the new version and starts the servers again. If anything goes wrong, it automatically rolls back to the previous version.
- "Remind me later" — the new-version notice stays on the bottom bar, and you can start the update from Options.
- Update on scheduled restart — optionally (off by default) the app installs the update during a restart from the Scheduler: one restart, one set of warnings.
- Script errors at server start — the app points to the mod that caused them, with a Workshop link.
- Manually added mods are detected again ("Local" badge).
- Integration mod — its folder on the server is cleaned on every start; leftover files no longer kick players with a "missing mod" message.
Installation and updates
This is the last update you do from the terminal — from this version on, the app updates itself. New installations still use the same command:
curl -fsSL https://ksdev.ovh/dl/install.sh | bash
Your servers, settings and data stay as they are.
If the auto-update fails
This is an early test version, so just in case: the command above still works as a full installer and always fetches the latest version. If an in-app update fails, simply run it again — and let us know through the Support form.
